Nooit helemaal hetzelfde, en ook nooit radicaal anders... het 24ste festival Midis-Minimes staat weer voor de deur ! Het initiatief van de vzw Opus 3 blijft ook in deze laatste editie, van 1 juli tot 27 augustus 2010, trouw aan zijn oorspronkelijke formule: elke weekdag kan het Brusselse publiek om 12u15 een concert van 35 minuten meepikken in de Miniemenkerk of in het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. De Zomer van Sint-Pieter te Leuven (in coproductie met het 30CC Leuven) is in 2010 aan zijn negende editie toe. Op vier weekdagen staat er telkens om 12u15 een concert geprogrammeerd, verdeeld tussen de Sint-Pieterskerk en 30CC/Schouwburg. Sinds twee jaar doet de Stad Waver mee aan de muzikale feestelijkheden: het festival Maca-Minimes programmeert concerten op dinsdag en donderdag in de binnentuin van het stadhuis van Waver en in de Saint-Jean Baptiste kerk.

Traditiegetrouw presenteert het festival Midis-Minimes een eclectisch programma met de meest diverse repertoires. Deze 24ste editie ontsnapt niet aan de regel en haalt zijn kracht uit de grootst mogelijke muzikale diversiteit: vocale muziek maar ook oude, moderne en traditionele instrumenten; solisten, duo's, trio's, kwartetten en zelfs orkesten; jonge musici en artiesten met faam uit binnen- en buitenland... Zoals elk jaar is de programmering opgedeeld in vijf cycli, die elk met een weekdag overeenstemmen: traditionele muziek op maandag en een specifieke stijlperiode uit de muziekgeschiedenis op elk van de overige weekdagen.
